The Minister of Foreign Affairs ordered the recall of the Cambodian ambassador to the country, with the decrease in diplomatic relations from the Ambassador to the Deputy Ambassador, to demonstrate the position and response of the situation of tension between Thailand and Cambodia.This move is considered a clear sign by the Thai government of dissatisfaction with some events or behaviour of the Cambodian authorities, by reducing such diplomatic relations to reflect the seriousness of the situation and the need to effectively intervene in relations between the two countries.
