Thai Government Calls on International Community to Condemn Cambodia for Aggressive Acts, Opening Fire First with Ruthless Attacks on Hospitals and Civilians Resulting in Deaths and Injuries
On July 24, 2025, the Thai government issued a statement urging the global community and international organizations to strongly condemn Cambodia’s actions for initiating heavy weapon attacks on the Thai border area. Notably, Cambodia fired artillery shells targeting hospitals and civilian homes, causing multiple fatalities and injuries.
The Thai government emphasized that these acts are not only hostile toward Thailand but are also brutally inhumane and constitute serious violations of international humanitarian law, including breaches of the Geneva Conventions that strictly prohibit attacks on medical facilities and non-combatant civilians.
