TEHRAN — Iranian state media has reported that the Iranian government officially rejected a U.S. proposal aimed at ending the ongoing Middle East conflict. In response, Tehran has put forward five of its own conditions, asserting that the war will only conclude once all these demands are met.

The official underscored that Tehran is seeking a permanent end to hostilities rather than a temporary ceasefire. According to Press TV, the five non-negotiable conditions are as follows:

1. Cessation of Hostilities: An absolute end to all forms of "aggression and assassinations" by enemy forces.

2. Security Guarantees: The establishment of a clear mechanism to ensure that military conflict against the Islamic Republic is never reignited.

3. War Reparations: Guarantees and specific calculations for war damages and compensation to be paid to Iran.

4. Regional Resolution: Hostilities must cease on all fronts, including actions against all affiliated resistance groups across the region.

5. Sovereignty over Strait of Hormuz: International recognition and guarantees of Iran’s sovereign authority over the Strait of Hormuz.
